Funky Rug update

Here is how the rug is coming along so far. Earlier this week Chris and I visited his parents, and his mom gave me seven t-shirts! I was really excited because I had depleted my supply. We had a nice time visiting, and I even got some rug knitting done.
I can't decide if I want to add more rows, and how many. I'm also not completely sure what order I will sew the rows together, but that's the fun part. Posted by Hello

...and look what I got in the mail!

When we returned home I found these waiting for me in the mailbox! They are a surprise from my Aunt Phyllis, isn't that sweet? I haven't totally decided how I will put them to use. I'm tossing around a few ideas.

Happy Graduation to CYNDI!!!!!!!!

Hey look its me and Cyndi and we're not knitting! Last night we attended a Disco Horror party, that was a birthday and graduation party. Okay, I'm doing some goofy mouth open thing, so try to ignore that. This is a very good shot of Cyndi though, it must be because she graduated! (oh and she's attractive! hehe) Several knitters were there and we discussed the necessity of another team knitting shin-dig. Do people say shin-dig anymore? We are all very happy that its summer! ~Heather Posted by Hello

AHHH Crazy Skeleton Mermaid

Cyndi is graduating this Friday which is so awesome. But then she's going to leave me and move (okay not really that far) to another city. She plans on coming to good ole Norman on the weekends, and she better! Since she is moving she is getting rid of alot of her things. She is giving me her awesome mermaid skeleton. We found it in a dumpster at her apartment one day, and I found a little treasure for myself too. We think its Mexican day-of-the-dead inspired. Tell me that this is not the coolest thing to ever find in a dumpster?! Also when we saved it from the trash the people who threw it away totally saw us walking back to her apartment, talking excitedly about it. Needless to say, I caught them laughing at us. Anyway, I'm babysitting her until Cyndi wants her back one day. But I may get too attached and never give it back. -Heather Posted by Hello

I have another row finished!! Hooray! I went over to Cyndi's last night to knit and talk on her balcony. She was suppose to be studying for a final, but that really didn't happen too much, hehe. I only have one more assignment to do for school, then I will have a wonderful break for the summer. And I can knit to my hearts content. I need to search out more t-shirts. I may try to hit up some more garage sales for the cheapest t-shirts I can find, and hopefully in lots of colors. Posted by Hello

This is one of my new hats. The funny blob on the side is a large crocheted flower. I think I like it better without it. Posted by Hello

What I've been up to

Oh, how I am so sick of school. Soon it will be over! Yay! I graduate in a week! In between my business with school I have managed to make a few hats and start a shawl. I don't like to do homework. At least this way I am being productive with something, right? A few weeks ago I even managed to sell one of my hats. It's still a working design. I think I'll make a few more mod.s before I sell another one. I am a bit of a perfectionist. All of the hats I've made have a brim on them. I feel they are a bit more spring time than the brimless kind. And turns out most people do look cute in them. Hurray. Since, I still have yet to find a full time job I think I am going to work up a few more designs for hats, coffee coats, and writs bands to sell at my coffee shop I work at occationally. They said I could sell there! Of course I've been meaning to do that for a while so we'll see. In the mean time I think I'll steal Heather and have her help me figure out how to put pictures up on the site.

Frida's Adventure

Look where I found Frida when I got home from school today. Yeah, she was on the roof of my two-story apartment building. And she was meow-crying which was totally sad. Luckily there is a tree at the end of the building, which I managed to get her to follow me to. Then, she realized she could climb down it. And thankfully she is safe and sound. Although I think she is very tired now from all the trauma. -Heather Posted by Hello
