My latest embroidery

This is my latest embroidery. The red owl is holding a tootsie pop, which my boyfriend recommended, haha. I plan on making a clutch purse out of this, which I'm excited about.
I drew the owls and used crewel embroidery technique, it was really fun.

Here is the new purse I made. Its made out of some old jeans that haven't fit for quite a long time now (I have a problem getting rid of things). I used an awesome neck tie as the strap; I also made a necktie wallet out of the same tie.

Close up of the flamingo. I actually drew this guy myself then embroidered it, which is harder than you might think. It's pretty simple but I'm happy with the way it came out.

Just another pic. of my new bag. I think I'll take it to work with me tomarrow. I might try to make a matching pouch with the extra blue fabric, since I got too excited to finish it to take the time & make a pocket. Oops!

I've been feeling craft deprived lately, & Heather's been urging me to make a recycled sweater purse for months. I finally took a day and finished one. I love it! I was lucky; I bought the tie at a thrift store a month or so ago, & the fabric I had left over from another project. I thought the pattern and colors were so close to the tie that I had to use it for the lining. ----Needles

Esty Item of the Week!

I was cruising around on etsy, checking out what other cool items are out there. I love these glass rings above! This can be found in www.periwinklepea.etsy.com . The rings are made to order, so you can pick whatever size you want. I have smallish hands (not carnie hands though, haha) and I have a hard time finding rings to fit. Plus, she is charging $7 and $1 for shipping, which is very reasonable.
Etsy is a new website and there are tons of great things on there, so I thought I'd give a little attention to things I think are awesome!

More neck tie wallets

I got a bunch of neck ties recently, at a good price. Now I'm back to making more of my neck tie wallets. Here are the ones I've made in the last few days. They are all so funky and random, I really like the different patterns. I'm posting these for sale in my etsy store ( http://www.bourgeoisboutique.etsy.com ). I have sold a few items at Aisle 7, and I'm so excited.

On knitting news, I'm currently making a little sweater for a special little chiuhuh (no idea how to spell that) named Felina. It is tiny and lavender and I'm planning on making leg warmers too, hehe! I will have to take some pics soon.

ELVIS SWAP

I joined an Elvis themed swap on www.craftster.org where they match you up with partners and you craft away for each other. This is what I received from my amazing partner! Below, I took spaztic closeups of everything. Now I have everything to have my own Elvis Shrine!!!! Heck yes!

This is a little music box that plays HeartBreak Hotel and it too cool for school.

She stenciled this for me and I love it. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it. I'm thinking it should be wearable, but I dunno.
